We didn’t start with a blueprint. We started with a broken piece of land — and the desire to make it whole again.
In 2006, this was abandoned farmland. My father and I began planting trees, not knowing what would come of it. Slowly, the jungle returned. So did the animals. And with them, an idea:
What if we could protect this place, live in harmony with it, and share it with others?
That idea became Cielo Ranch Reserve.

Everything here was built with our hands and heart.
We didn’t buy a lodge. We created a forest — and shaped a place for connection, conservation, and rest.
We now host guests from around the world. But the core stays the same:
– Protect the land
– Support wildlife
– Make people feel something real

You don’t share the space. You belong to it.
Every stay supports forest restoration and native species.
We treat every guest with care, like we would old friends.
You’re not just passing through — you’re part of a story that matters.

Paul Robinson:
Founder, host, land steward, tree planter, builder, guide — and probably the one who’ll greet you when you arrive.
“My life doesn’t follow a straight path. But this land taught me how to grow slow, stay grounded, and build something real.”
From my kids to my parents, this reserve is a shared vision built across generations. Everyone has planted trees here.
We work with local foresters, farmers, and conservationists — people who love this region and protect it every day.
If you’re tired of artificial experiences and looking for something real — welcome.
Cielo Ranch Reserve is a place for people who care about nature, about their people, and about doing things differently.
How can I help you?
